The Alternative Being Booster (EX4) is a 2023 expansion for the Digimon Card Game that leans heavily into alternate forms and powerful evolved Digimon. Released in June 2023, the set introduces striking alternate art treatments and rare parallel versions that have made it a favorite among collectors and competitive players alike. With a lineup centered on iconic Digimon in their most dramatic transformations, EX4 delivers some of the most visually impressive cards in the game's history.
Omnimon Alter-S (Silver Alternate Art)
As the top chase card in the set, this Silver Alternate Art version of Omnimon Alter-S commands over $50 on the secondary market. The combination of Super Rare status and the eye-catching silver foil treatment makes it a standout piece for collectors seeking premium finishes.
Omnimon Zwart Defeat (Silver Alternate Art)
This Promo variant of Omnimon Zwart Defeat carries significant value thanks to its limited silver alternate art treatment and promo distribution. Sitting just under $45, it appeals to both fans of the dark Omnimon aesthetic and those chasing high-rarity promos.
ShadowSeraphimon (2024 Regionals Champion)
Tournament-stamped cards carry a special prestige, and this 2024 Regionals Champion version of ShadowSeraphimon is no exception. Its competitive pedigree and exclusivity push its value to over $43, making it one of the most sought-after event promos tied to this set.
ShineGreymon: Ruin Mode (Alternate Art)
The Secret Rare Alternate Art version of ShineGreymon: Ruin Mode features dramatic artwork that elevates it well above the standard print. At nearly $28, it represents strong value for collectors drawn to bold, high-quality card illustrations.
ShineGreymon: Ruin Mode
The standard Secret Rare print of ShineGreymon: Ruin Mode rounds out the top five at around $13.50. While less expensive than its alternate art counterpart, it remains a desirable pull and a popular choice for players building competitive decks on a budget.
Overall, EX4 Alternative Being Booster holds its value well, particularly at the top end where silver alternate arts and promo exclusives drive significant premiums. The gap between the standard and alternate art versions of ShineGreymon: Ruin Mode illustrates how much collectors are willing to pay for upgraded treatments. As the set ages and supply tightens, prices on the rarest variants are likely to remain strong or climb further.
